School Trips
To enhance our curriculum and provide our children with a vast array of real experiences we regularly make local and national visits in each group.
Residential Visits
We offer a series of residential experiences for children as they progress through our school. Each trip is designed to gradually build confidence, independence, and resilience — developing from a one-night stay to a four- or five-night adventure.
In Year 4, pupils enjoy their first overnight stay at Danbury, a local site where they take part in forest school activities and a range of outdoor challenges such as archery, climbing, and an aerial runway. The children sleep in cabins and use sleeping bags for this one-night experience.
The Year 5 adventure takes place by the water, where pupils spend three days taking part in exciting activities including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, raft building, high ropes, and crate stacking. Accommodation is in small dormitories, and the children make their own beds — a valuable life skill!
Towards the end of Year 6, the children travel to the Isle of Wight for a traditional end-of-primary residential. Staying in a hotel with en-suite rooms, they enjoy a variety of visits and activities that combine learning with fun, celebrating their time at primary school before moving on to secondary education.
